I got this as part of the Ethical Bean Voxbox through Influenster. This is a free program and they don't provide any compensation outside of sending samples periodically. I am fairly particular about the coffee I'll drink. I like cappuccino and espresso, but only if made from high quality beans. I can't handle drip coffee or anything bitter. Luckily, the Sweet Espresso from Ethical Bean was very smooth and didn't even have a bitter aftertaste. This ground up nicely in our budget coffee grinder and smells delicious before even brewing. Some freshly ground coffees can give me a headache since the smell is so strong, but this one was the right amount of coffee and not too overpowering.
I made both espresso and cappuccino the Sweet Espresso beans and both were very smooth and tasty. The packaging reseals nicely so it stays fresh for quite some time. The only con I found was the price point. It runs about 25 cents/oz more than starbucks whole bean coffee. While you can get some rebates on iBotta periodically, I would reserve this one for special occasions until the price comes down a little bit. It is ethically sourced and organic as well.
