LYRIDZ Rechargeable Motion Sensor Closet Light Unboxing and Review

I was skeptical of motion sensor lights after having tried a few in the past that didn't work besides as a flashlight. The sensors usually don't pick up a whole lot, but the LYRIDZ lights have definitely changed that. The sensor was very sensitive and I couldn't be in the same room when I was testing it because it picks up the smallest movement.

This smart cabinet light has magnets on two sides to allow for best placement and also includes 8- 3M adhesive metal plates for placement on otherwise nonmetallic surfaces. For a 2 pack, this runs $25.99 at time of posting. While that may seem more expensive than many you see on Amazon, it's because these ones actually work.

Settings

There are 4 modes: Off, Auto- Night, Auto-24 hours, and On. Off and On are fairly self explanatory. The auto settings are for motion sensed lighting. For 24- hour mode, the light will turn on any time it senses movement, while for the night mode, it will only turn on when motion is detected at night.

There are also 5 brightness options that can be adjusted by pressing the touch light button on the side (see first photo in post). You can also press and hold to get to your desired brightness.

The set of 2 lights are rechargeable and come with a USB to mini HDMI cord. A red indicator light appears when one is charging and shuts off when completely charged. On the lowest setting, they claim to last for several years on auto-night mode or for up to 2 weeks on the brightest mode (night use only).

Trial

We tested out during the day with great success, but the better indicator was placing one in the bathroom at night. We used the lowest brightness level and left on auto-night mode. It turned on the second we stepped foot in the bathroom and provided a perfect, dim light for seeing, but not blinding. We plan to install the second light in our closet (once we put doors on).

Overall

I would 100% recommend as this is the first motion sensed light I've seen that has high quality sensors and a good variety of lighting options. While not the cheapest option, it is far from the most expensive and so far seems well worth the investment. Would also work great as a hall nightlight or under kitchen cabinets.
