With all the working at home we've been doing, we finally broke down and got a paper shredder earlier this spring. I wasn't looking to spend too much money, but wanted to make sure I got something that was reliable and would shred well to avoid security issues.
A paper shredder is a wonderful tool to effectively destroy sensitive paperwork and documents along with any other paper that is piling up in your office or house. We also use ours to get rid of bills, bank statements, or anything else that may pose an identify theft issue.
The Ragu Shredder so far has fit all our needs. It runs around $40 at time of posting and easily shreds up to 6 pages at a time. It does also handle credit cards and thicker paper well. This shredder is fairly light weight making it easy to move around (and ship).
We like the it cross shreds, leaving ~1" x 1/4" pieces rather than the long strips that some shredders leave behind. Use caution when unboxing as the teeth are sharp if you grab in the wrong spot. I've used for several months without issue and would recommend for anyone looking for a decent, but affordable shredder.
