I'm not usually a pork rind person, but I was drawn to the interested flavors and the quality standards from 4505 Meats. We tried the Chili & Lime Fried Pork Curly Qs.
The Pros
These are great for anyone following a keto or low carb diet. It's a good replacement for chips as a crunchy and salty snack. Pork rinds also have protein which is a plus. If you like pork rinds, they are great. 4505 Meats doesn't used pigs with added hormones or antibiotics. They are also surprisingly low in calories (80/serving).
The Cons
All I could taste was bacon. A lot of people love bacon, so maybe this isn't so bad, but I couldn't taste any chili or lime. So to start the flavor was disappointing to me. I'm also not a crispy bacon fan - I'm the one who likes is less done so these just didn't hit home with me. They were fairly salty and I couldn't eat much at a time. Again, maybe not such a bad thing. The kicker for me was the price point. at $11.99 for the family size, these were just too expensive to make the lackluster flavor worth the money.
Overall, if you love bacon, want a healthier snacking option that is low in carbs, and are open to paying more for that option -- These are for you. For the rest of us that aren't in love with bacon or don't want to shell out that kind of money for pork rinds - I'd keep looking for something else.
