I love storing snacks and common ingredients on my counters or at least in easy to access spots in the pantry. The boxes or bags things come in typically aren't overly appealing to display and can let things go bad more quickly than desired. I've been trying a few different storage containers and have liked quite a few, but they can get rather spendy.
We have the OXO vacuum seal containers for our coffee and flour, but I was looking for a more affordable option for our snacks and other stored foods. I bought the Frebw containers in the snack size or I guess you could call it the smaller size too. These are perfect for things like almonds, dried fruits, candy, etc. They stack nicely so I can still have them on the counter if I want or they pack much better than the bags and boxes that I usually get the items in for the pantry closet.
The sealing mechanism is a bit different from the typical push to seal/release method. It is more like a hook that you have to lift or push down. The tops require some extra pressure to seal well, but they do seal nicely if you do that. They definitely aren't are simple or as nice looking as the mainstream brands, but for the price they are definitely a contender and get the job done.
