I had lugging around the garden hose to water and then trying to recoil it. I always seem to get muddy in the process or the hose kinks and then you have to walk back to straighten it before continuing to water. This one was not that way at all.
Pros
First of all this came in a small box that was so easy to lift, I didn't know it was the hose (I ordered from Amazon). It was tightly coiled so it should be easy to store. The outer coating feels slip resistant and make it easy to hold on to and it was a fraction of the weight of the normal hose. It also is longer than traditional hoses so I was able to reach the edge of the yard with little trouble but didn't have the hassle of the 100' hose to store. It connected fairly easily with the spigot too and didn't seem to kink like standard hoses do.
Cons
You do have to be more careful with connecting to the spigot as well as to any spray nozzles as this one did seem to have a tendency to leak more readily than standard hoses, but with care it didn't leak at all. While it does expand somewhat, it seems to slow flow quite a bit. This still worked for watering, but is definitely a lower flow hose than others I've seen. Might not be ideal for kids sprinkler activities, but was fine for watering. The coil was originally wrapped around cardboard so that wasn't reusable, but that is pretty standard for all hoses.
Overall
All in all, I would likely buy this hose again. The lightweight feature and affordability far outweigh the potential leaks and low flow nature. I would recommend this for anyone that struggles with a heavier hose or just wants a shorter term affordable option. Would work great for a kids garden or any garden in general if you are going to water for an extended period of time.
