Located in the heart of La Petite France, Le Baeckeoffe d'Alsace was a hidden gem. Most of the restaurants are severely overpriced in this tourist town. While wandering through the streets in search of a good dinner we happened upon this quaint restaurant and went in to get out of the rain.
The menu boasts many options with all being quite sizable as you will find in the photos below.

The portions were very large and even after a day of much walking, we may have ordered a bit too much. Having come from an area where French dining means exorbitantly priced tiny portions, we wanted to make sure we had enough food. Not to worry here, you will get plenty to eat at a very reasonable price. Le Baeckeoffe had the best prices that we saw in the area and was one of the few restaurants to offer chocolate mousse. This is a must try if you are in the area!
